Writing on the Wall
We recently painted our kitchen which hasn't been painted for several years. Here are some pictures of the process and the result.

Josh made the Hebrew stencils by hand and then did the stenciling on the soffet for me.

Of course, the Hebrew reads from right to left and the transliteration goes like this, "Shema Israel, Adonai, Eloheynu, Adonai, Echad."

The other wall in the kitchen has the English translation from Deuteronomy 6:4, "Hear O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one!"

And one last look at the finished Hebrew lettering:

As a mother I have tried to educate my children in everything I think about life. I have also found that many times I was learning right along with them. When I didn't know the answer to something the most important thing for me to do was to point them to the One who did have all the answers. We have had to work through many tough issues together, but we have rejoiced in God's blessings to us. Now my children are nearly grown and my life has entered a new season. I have discovered that I have changed also. My blog is a place to express my thoughts and feelings about my God, my family, and about life through word and through photography. May my life bring honor to the Almighty.

Wow, that is BEAUTIFUL! Josh is so talented… I’m inspired.
I have a wall in my kitchen that is still just drywall, which I’ve been planning to paint a Scripture on, but I hadn’t even thought of doing it in Hebrew! It’s a smaller section though, just above my kitchen sink, between the cabinets on either side… hmmmmm…
